Setup Honeywell DVR Apple Iphone and Ipad


The Remote-View iPhone app minimum requirements are:
• Supported Apple® models:
• Apple iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4
• Apple iPod touch 3GS, 4
• Apple iPad 1
• Supported HRDP DVRs: HRDP H.264 (v1.0.1.6 and later)
• Internet connection to the HRDP DVR.


Solution:

    Download the App from the App Store.

    Remote View

    To install the Remote-View iPhone app:
    1. From your Apple iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, tap the App Store icon.
    2. Tap Search, and then type Honeywell Remote-View in the Search field.
    3. Follow the instructions to download and install the application.
    4. When the application is successfully installed, the Honeywell Remote-View icon appears on the device.

    App Live View Features
    The Honeywell Remote-View iPhone app features Live View: single camera or multiple (quad) camera views.

    HRDP H.264 DVR Configuration

    To verify that the HRDP H.264 DVR is connected to the network:
    1. Press Setup on the front panel or IR remote control
    2. Navigate to Network Network Settings.
    3. Verify the HRDP network settings.
    If you are accessing the HRDP from outside your network (using 3G or public wi-fi), verify that the correct ports are forwarded to the HRDP (the default ports necessary for remote connections are 4000 and 4002). Adding a DVR to the Remote-View app

    To add a DVR:
    1. Launch the Remote-View iPhone app.
    2. Tap Add.
    3. Tap New DVR.


    4. In the Name field, type a unique name to identify the DVR.
    5. In the appropriate fields, type the IP Address, Port, ID and Password of the DVR.
    6. Tap Connect.

    Live Video Viewing
    When the HRDP DVR is connected, the iPhone Live Video screen displays the first four channels in quad view.
    1. To view the remaining channels, swipe the screen from right to left.
    2. Tap a single channel to open full screen. In full screen mode, rotating the device to landscape position enlarges the video image.
    3. To return to the multi-camera view, tap the screen to display the title bar and then tap Back.

    Displaying Camera Names
    Camera names defined on the HRDP DVR can be seen in the iPhone app. To display camera names:
    - Select a single camera, then tap the screen to display the title bar. The camera name appears on the title bar.
