Changing Drive Letters in Windows ...
(posted by Adam O on 2008-08-15 13:46:01)
Most of us want to customize our hard-drive letters and names for the sake of organization. The following method will show you how to exactly pull it off.

Solution:
Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools.

Double-click on Computer Management and then select Disk Management on the explorer list on the left. Select the hard-drive/partition you want to re-letter, right click it and select Change Drive Letter and Path. Select a new drive letter from the drop-down list and that's it.

Please note it's probably not a good idea to change the drive letter of the drive your operating system is installed on.
