Solution:Make sure you remove any antivirus software first as that is commonly the cause of the problem. Especially Internet Securities or other Firewall Packages Check for hidden devices in the Device Manager and make sure that you don't have any ghost devices that aren't working. At the command prompt type the following 2 lines: SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1 START DEVMGMT.MSC Then check to see if there are any hidden NIC or LAN devices. |
